Unknown people put up for sale on the Belarusian market the not yet released video cards of the RTX 30 Ampere series – GeForce RTX 3060
On the Belarusian online marketplace, they began to sell the not yet released video cards from NVIDIA of the GeForce RTX 3060 series, as reported by VideoCardz.
It is noteworthy that the official sales date is scheduled for February 25 (at 20:00 Moscow time). Dealers sell the “people’s card” for almost exorbitant prices – for 2800 Belarusian rubles ($ 1080).

At the same time, according to the manufacturers themselves, the cheapest model in the RTX 30 Ampere series should have cost $ 329.
Intentional downgrade of the video card
According to the announcement, one of the video cards has already been unpacked. After checking its speed, the seller may have decided to get rid of the cards, write to VideoCardz.
Unfortunately for the distributor, the reseller removed the serial codes of the cards being sold. This can help the manufacturer keep track of where and by whom the cards were sold ahead of time.

Earlier, the BeInCrypto editors reported that NVIDIA will limit the RTX 3060 hash rate so that the video card is not used by cryptocurrency miners. To replace conventional video cards for gamers, NVIDIA intends to release new, more powerful Cryptocurrency Mining Processors (CMPs), which are focused on mining the ether (ETH) cryptocurrency.
The Russian market was covered by a wave of video card shortages back in October 2020. Since then, more or less productive video cards are almost sold out, including the secondary market. However, the deficit rages on the Chinese market as well. Chinese miners are massively buying out laptops with RTX 3000 graphics cards for mining ETH. At that time, the hype was due to a historical rally, but how much the local correction affected the return on investment remains unknown.
