The UK has expanded sanctions against Russia by banning the supply of pound sterling banknotes and EU banknotes to the country. This was reported on the website of the British government.
“A ban on the export or use in Russia of banknotes denominated in pounds sterling or EU currencies,” the statement said.
The ban also included the export of jet fuel and additives for it. It covers supply and delivery, provision and transfer (as well as related technical assistance, financial services, funds and brokerage).
It also banned “the import, purchase, supply of income-generating goods that originate in or depart from Russia.”
