The press secretary of the head of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters that supplies through the Nord Stream gas pipeline have decreased due to the need for maintenance of the project, TASS reports.
The problem is the need to inspect the turbine and return it to its place, the head of the press service explained.
“If the turbine needs to be serviced and if the turbine needs to be returned from repair to its place of work, but it does not return. Probably, the fact that the turbine does not return is, indeed, not entirely technological (reason). Everything is very obvious, there is no double bottom,” Peskov explained.
He stressed that in Germany they have known about the technological cycles of gas pipeline maintenance for many years, and it is “strange to drag politics into this issue.”
Peskov also added that Russia is a “reliable energy supplier” to Europe, and stressed that Moscow, as a supplier of energy resources, will fulfill all its obligations.
