Soviet and Russian pop singer and actor Renat Ibragimov died at the age of 74.
Information about the death of the artist in an interview with RIA Novosti was confirmed by his daughter.
According to BUSINESS Online, Ibragimov’s death was due to heart problems.
Renat Ibragimov began his career on the stage of the Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Musa Jalil. The performer became widely known in 1975 after winning the Red Carnation competition in Sochi.
Since 1999, Ibragimov has been the artistic director of the Renat Ibragimov Song Theater founded by him. The title of People’s Artist of the RSFSR was granted to the singer in 1981.
Previously REN TV wrote that the director and actor Valery Grishko died at the age of 71.
