Russian gas supplies to Poland are suspended. This is reported by the Polish edition of Onet. Indirectly confirm the data of the operators. The reason for the suspension is unknown. A crisis team has gathered in the Polish government.
A crisis team has gathered at the Polish climate ministry as Gazprom suspends supplies, Onet reports. This information was unofficially confirmed to the publication by the government and the state company PGNiG, which receives gas.
The publication notes that last Friday the deadline for payments for gas, which should now be carried out in rubles, expired. Companies do not have to pay in Russian currency, for this it was necessary to open an additional ruble account with Gazprombank for automatic conversion to take place.
According to Onet, the Russian side did not state the reasons for the stop.
Indirectly, the information is confirmed by the data of the GTS Operator of Ukraine. If on May 26, deliveries to Poland were ordered through Ukraine at the level of 10.2 million cubic meters, then on April 27 – 1.2 million.
